Hi, did you know that Edith Cowan University here in Western Australia have a project to develop a computer game about AE2? Here is a link to a news item: http://article.wn.com/view/2013/04/24/Submarine_game_recreates_ANZAC_legend_Edith_Cowan_University/#/related_news
ReplyDeleteAll the best,
Mark
Thanks for that Bob, I'll give it a good read over the next few days (and probably in true gamer fashion play it albeit in a different format).
ReplyDeleteMay I also take this opportunity to wish you and your family Merry Christmas?
Cheers,
Pete.
Sun of York,
ReplyDeleteI did not know that!
Thanks for the link; I shall enjoy reading the article as soon as I can.
All the best,
Bob
Pete,
ReplyDeleteI would be interested to hear how you get on with the game ... and how you adapt it.
A Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and your family.
All the best,
Bob
Bob,
ReplyDeleteI noticed this game a couple of years ago in the old Wargames World magazine. It has been on my list of "must run this sometime for the guys" games ever since.
Phil Dutré,
ReplyDeleteI hope that you enjoy trying it out with your friends.
What catches most players out is the different water currents at different depths (due to differing salinity levels in the Black Sea and Mediterranean) in the Dardanelles.
All the best,
Bob

Peter Douglas,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the feedback. I am very pleased that your group enjoyed the game. Considering how long ago I wrote the rules, they seem to have stood the test of time remarkably well.
All the best,
Bob
