  • Fight a delaying action
  • Force the Yankees to make frontal assault on your position

  3. Aw... Geez... Bedford Forrest doesn't get to bellow 'You are a coward, sir!' to a superior officer, Bell Hood doesn't get to order a frontal assault in order to 'punish' his army, and what happened to Judson 'Damn Fool' Kilpatrick?

    Just kidding. This looks like a fascinating exercise. Can't wait for the next instalment.

    It sounds like you are really enjoying this series of blog entries!
