Hexon II: what I currently own

The 6-Hex terrain tiles alone would cover a 15' x 4' table, and if the 1-Hex terrain tiles were added to them, all the terrain tiles would cover a 17' x 4' table. As my wargames table can be extended so that it is 6' x 4', I now have enough Hexon II to be able to fight reasonably-sized battles on a wide variety of terrain.

  1. That's quite an inventory! What size are these hexes. along, say, one edge?
    Cheers,

  2. Archduke Piccolo (Ion),

The hexes are 10cm from face-to-face and 5.8cm along each edge.

    All the best,

  3. Hi Bob,

I can think of a four letter word to describe that little lot - PHEW!

I think you should be able to fight just about anything and everything with that haul.

Very impressive and without a doubt it is top quality gear.

    All the best,

  4. David Crook,

It is probably the largest financial 'investment' I have ever made in the field of wargaming ... and I think it was well worth the money!

    All the best,

    Bob

  5. Bob,
I can't help finding it ironic that the author of the Portable Wargame rules should have such an extensive collection that is anything but portable...
I envy you having the dedicated wargame room!
    Best wishes,
    Arthur

  6. Arthur1815,

I agree that it is somewhat ironic ... but when I started to design my PORTABLE WARGAME rules two years ago, my Hexon II terrain was almost impossible to access. Now it is ... but I still like the simplicity and concepts behind my PORTABLE WARGAME rules, and have tailored them to fit in with my Hexon II.

    All the best,

    Bob
