  2. Jonathan Freitag,

It was a very interesting day. Lots of informative and thought-provoking talks plus a wargame that involved about one hundred participants ... and there are two more days to come!

    All the best,

    Bob

  3. Ray Rousell,

It is a great way to spend three days ... and with luck it might lead to an even bigger event in the future!

    All the best,

    Bob

  4. Archduke Piccolo,

I understand that something similar is planned to take place in Australia ... and as we have found in Europe (where Connections UK has spawned similar events in other European countries), this might lead to an event in New Zealand.

    All the best,

    Bob

The Connections AU website is at http://www.kriegspiek.com.au/connections.html . It might be worth looking at.

  6. Gonsalvo,

The conference is run under the auspices of KCL's War Studies Department (particularly the Wargaming Post-Grad course run by Professor Phil Sabin) with a large input from The Staff College. There are also lots of guest speakers from various UK establishments/organisations as well as some from the US.

    All the best,

    Bob

  7. Bob,
The link for the Connections AU website does not seem to work. I keep getting a "Page Not Found" message.

I noticed on this post and on your next post (I'm lazy, so I'm commenting here rather than on the most recent post), that this conference has speakers. The topics sound interesting. Does anyone produce transcripts of these talks?

  8. Chris,

Sorry about the faulty URL. It should be :

    http://www.kriegspiel.com.au/connections.html

I managed to mistype a 'k' instead of an 'l'.

Audio files of the talks will be available within a month or two on the Connections UK website.

    All the best,

    Vob
