Nice photo of an interesting looking early Dreadnought. Do you know the cause of the explosion?

DeleteThe Spanish dreadnoughts were the smallest built, and were barely larger that the last of the pre-dreadnoughts.
The ship had been damaged as a result of a Nationalist air attack, and was being repaired. A small internal explosion started a fire which did extensive damage. There were accusations of sabotage, but they were never substantiated.
