Vive L'Empereur: Light Infantry (2)

After varnishing and basing the first batch of French Light Infantry figures in my collection of Del Prado pre-painted 25/28mm-scale Napoleonic figures, I moved onto doing the second batch.

There are eight bases of Light Infantry in this batch of figures, each base having three figures.

Other than a few odd figures that I might be able to use to form one or two additional units at some time in the future, all the French Infantry figures are now varnished and based. I now hope to move on to do the French Artillery figures ... of which there are quite a few!

  1. Jim Duncan,

I could almost hear the pas de charge as I sat basing them!

    All the best,

  2. It just so happens that my next (first since September 2013) wargame will be against a Frenchman but there will be none of the Little Corporals men involved.

  3. Jim Duncan,

That is quite a break between wargames! I hope that you enjoy it when it takes place.

  5. I have often found it to take longer "touching up" a few figures, than it does to paint them from the primer up....

your soldiers look very nice based and varnished, and i am sure will give you a great deal of enjoyment went put to the test.

  6. Steven Page,

Thanks for your very kind comment ... and I am hoping that I will get years of enjoyment using them.

I must admit that re-painting/re-touching some painted figures can take almost as long as it would take me to paint them from scratch ... but some only need a minimal amount of work.

    All the best,

    Bob
