This weekend has been a busy one for Sue and I. Yesterday – as part of OPEN HOUSE LONDON – we travelled to Westminster in order to visit Horse Guards ...
... and the Banqueting House.
Whilst we were there we also managed to pay a visit to the Household Cavalry Museum, which is housed in part of the Horse Guards building.
This morning I am off to the Skirmish Toy Soldier and Wargames Show in Sidcup, Kent, where I hope to meet other wargamers that I know, including David Crook and Professor Phil Sabin.
The upshot of all this activity is that I am going to have plenty to write about on this blog over the next few days ... so I would advise regular readers to keep visiting it regularly!

Ah- yes BOB...certainly interested in your visit to the Sidcup, Kent - Toy Soldier and Wargames Show. I'm most interested and will look forward to your News of the Show...The 54mm Toy Soldiers in plastic is my current interest and Project. Regards. KEV.
ReplyDeleteKev,
DeleteI got back from the show just after midday, having spent just under hours there. Lots of stuff on sale, including quite a number of sets of antique and reproduction metal 54mm figures. I didn't see much in the way of plastic figures, but one or two trade stands did have a few on sale.
I spent some time looking at the wargames, and I will be writing a blog entry about the show tomorrow.
All the best,
Bob
