The latest draft of the new edition of 'La Ultima Cruzada' continues to grow ... and has a new name.

Over the past few days I have been doing quite a lot of work on the re-write of my book, LA ULTIMA CRUZADA. At present the A5-sized book has over two hundred pages and one hundred illustrations ... and I have still got a lot more to add.

The nature of the book is changing, and it looks as if it is going to be substantially different from the previous edition. As a result I gave decided to give this edition a new name ... SPANISH CIVIL WAR MILITARY SOURCE BOOK. This reflects the new book's more thematic approach and that fact that it will contain much more data than the previous book.

  1. Really looking forward to this Bob...it'll be a good motivator to dust off my SCW Chain of Command armies! I do think La Ultima Cruzada is a snappier title though...

    1. Alastair,

What I thought was going to be a quick re-write is turning into a far bigger job ... but I hope that the end result will be worth it.

The change of name is partially to avoid confusion with the earlier editions and also to reflect the changed nature of the content,

      All the best,

      Bob

  2. Looking forward to it too Bob- I've a pile of unpainted figures so it will hopefully provide me with the inspiration I need to get cracking with them.

    Cheers,

    Pete.

  3. This sounds like quite an undertaking, and a worthwhile one.

Could the old title be kept with the new title as a sub-title?

    1. Ross Mac,

It is quite a project, but I think that it will be worth it in the end.

The end result is going to be significantly different from the earlier editions, which is why I am moving away from using the same title.

      All the best,

      Bob
