The latest sales figures for my books have just arrived ... and it was particularly pleasing to see that sales of THE PORTABLE WARGAME - regardless of the format - have reached 1,001!
It is also great to see that sales of DEVELOPING THE PORTABLE WARGAME continue to rise, and have now reached a total of 396 ... which is a rise of 68 since last month.

Hi Bob,
ReplyDeleteThat is great news so very well done! Funnily enough I was revisiting my copy of When Empires Clash only last night.
I am looking forward the new SCW title when ready - that will be my Christmas present to myself....
All the best,
DC
David Crook,
DeleteWHEN EMPIRES CLASH! has been a slow-burn success, and although it will never rival PW, it does have its loyal followers.
Both my proof-readers have completed their task, and I now have to make the necessary changes. Once that is done I can begin the final pre-publication stages of the process ... and then it will be published!
All the best,
Bob
Great result and well deserved. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteArchduke Piccolo,
DeleteThanks very much!
All the best,
Bob
Is that 1,000 or 10,001?
ReplyDeleteI suspect 1,000.
Nevertheless well done.
Jim Duncan,
DeleteÍt should be 1,001... and I have corrected the mistake on the blog.
Hopefully my next book will be as equally successful.
All the best,
Bob
Congratulations Bob. Here’s to 1000 more.
ReplyDeleteStephen Briddon,
DeleteThanks fir you congratulations. I doubt if sales will ever top 2,000 ... but I can hope!
All the best,
Bob
Congratulations on such a good start!
ReplyDeleteRoss Mac,
DeleteThanks very much!
All the best,
Bob
I ordered a copy of The Portable Wargame last week from Lulu and therefore contributed to your success a little. Hope you are encouraged to continue with more expansions of these very nice rules.
ReplyDeleteDavid Cuatt,
DeleteI hope that you enjoy using the rules. I have further variants planned, but I'm not sure when they will appear.
All the best,
Bob
Congratulations and well deserved!
ReplyDeleteI am the proud owner of both your portable wargaming titles. In fact, for the first time in nearly 45 years of wargaming, they have inspired me to consider playing 20th century games. I love the style and look forward to the next one.
Jon Meech,
DeleteThanks for your congratulations. I am very pleased that you have enjoyed my books and that it has reignited your interest in Modern wargaming.
I have plans for further books ... but I'm not sure how soon I will get around to writing them.
All the best,
Bob
Congrats on reaching that milestone.
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Pete.
Pete.,
DeleteCheers old chap! I never, ever thought that I'd sell more than a couple of dozen copies of my books, but I seem to found a niche that needed to be filled.
All the best,
Bob
Since you posted it add one to your count on Developing the Portable Wargame!
ReplyDelete:)
Geordie an Exiled FoG,
DeleteThanks for buying a copy of my book.
I get daily updates for sales made by Lulu.com, but only get updates from other retailers once each month ... and then not always on the same day.
All the best,
Bob

ReplyDeleteRick Krebs,
DeleteSorry for the tardy reply to your comment, but for some reason it was placed in the spam folder and I have only just read it.
I did look at your battle report, and I made a comment. I am very pleased that you have embraced the simplicity of the PW, and I hope that the rules will continue to give you enjoyment and fun.
All the best,
Bob
