The additional figures for one of my Portable Wargame armies are finished ... at last!

I began work on renovating and basing theses figures nearly two weeks ago, but I finally managed to finish them yesterday.

They will be useful additions to the 15mm British Colonial army in my collection, especially as it currently has no cavalry.

Cheers! They’ve be patiently waiting to be renovated and based for over twenty years ... and they look good now that they are done.

    1. Kev Robertson (Kev),

I know that not everyone likes the figures produced by Essex Miniatures, but I do, and once painted and based, I think that look great.

Doing little jobs like this is keeping me busy and helping me to recover from my operation.

      All the best,

      Bob

    1. Ross Mac,

Cheers! I’m hoping that these will be the first figures that will go on to form one of a number a small PW imagi-nation armies that I plan to put together.

      All the best,

    1. Brad DeSantis,

Cheers! I already have a number of pack mules/horses in my collection, and like the fact that they can be used to show an army’s supply column without the need to paint and assemble horse-drawn wagons.

      All the best,

      Bob

  6. Hello there Bob,

They look rather dashing and I reckon that you will get a lot of use out of them!

Good to see you cracking stuff out again.

    All the best,

    1. David Crook,

They fill a gap in the ranks of my 15mm British Army and will no doubt see some tabletop action in the near future.

This short term project has helped to kickstart my modelling mojo ... and I’ve already identified some further figures that can undergo similar treatment.

      All the best,

      Bob

  7. Hi Bob -
Ain't it great to get a 20-year-old monkey off your back? These chappies look fine, too. Glancing back through my 'back issues', I noticed your commenting back then you had a backlog of colonial/ 19th C armies to complete...
    Cheers,
    Ion

    1. Archduke Piccolo,

It was great to actually finish basing these figures ... and I already have another batch in preparation! I also have some Prussian and Union infantry to do, and they will form the basis of two more small PW armies.

      All the best,

      Bob
