I have finally started work on creating a Wargaming Miscellany YouTube channel. To date, I have designed a banner ...
... and a watermark, ...
... and actually registered the channel with YouTube. However, there is no content as yet and the channel's front page currently looks like this:
I hope to put together a short welcome video at some point over the next week, and I will write a blog post when I have and invite my regular blog readers to subscribe to the channel. After that, who knows what will happen!
So, going over to the Dark Side and leaving we blog scribblers behind, are ye' Bob? Say it ain't so :)
ReplyDeleteEd M,
DeleteFar from it! I see the YouTube channel as a way in which I can show and do things that I cannot do in my blog.
All the best,
Bob
Great banner! Looking forward to further progress.
ReplyDeleteMark Cordone,
DeleteCheers! The background is part of a photo of Ian Dury’s PW terrain board.
All the best,
Bob
Looking forward to it! One bit of advice, do make sure your audio is good. People will struggle with dodgy video but, in general, poor audio will loose viewers fast. A good lapel microphone ought to help. Look at equipment produced by the Australian company Rode. Top-notch gear that will help you produce quality productions.

DeleteThanks very much for the very helpful advice. I have a microphone that has a small stand and a combined mic and headset. I’m going to try both and see which suits me best.
All the best,
Bob
Looking forward to this, Bob!

BOB- A good move- your U-Tube Site will be so useful for you to extend your interest and activity and that of your viewers. I've yet to be able to upload my first Video of my OO Model Railway- I'm having difficulty moving the Video from my Camera to the Computer. Anyway- have a great week ahead. KEV.
ReplyDeleteKev Robertson (Kev),
DeleteI am hoping to use the YouTube channel as an adjunct to my blog.

DeleteCheers! I’m currently trying to grips with the video software … without a great deal of success as yet!
I did record a short introduction to my channel, but forgot to record the audio. I’m going to have another go later this week, hopefully with the sound on!
All the best,
Bob
Hi Bob, this is great news indeed - I await with interest!

DeleteI am struggling a bit with the software I need to use … but I’m gradually getting there and once I do, I’ll be uploading my first video.
All the best,
Bob
Wishing you great success with the YouTube channel Bob!!
ReplyDeleteIt will be a great way to preserve a recording of your projects forever in cyberspace
Best wishes - Quinn

DeleteI must admit that I’m not finding the software I’m trying to use very user-friendly, which is slowing my progress. I’ll get there … but it’s going to take longer than I expected.
All the best,
Bob
