Well, after a long wait, the bathroom fitters should be arriving today to strip out our existing shower and replace it with an accessible one. They should take four days to complete the task, and once they have, I can shower again without worrying about getting in and out of the shower or falling over during the process.
Whilst this work is taking place, I’ll not be able to access my toy/wargame room very easily as it is next door to the shower room and will be used to store some of the materials being used by the fitters. As a result, I may not be able to do much blogging for the next few days … but I will spending my time thinking about – and possibly working on – future projects.

DeleteThe fitter arrived at 8.00am and had stripped the old shower room bare in two hours! He estimates that it should be finished by Wednesday afternoon … which is quicker than originally estimated.
I hope to ask for contributions to the next Compendium soon … so be warned and have a contribution (or two) ready!

Funnily enough, I have been thinking about staging a short ‘Dominion of …’ campaign this week as it is easy to fit it with all the building work that is taking place.

ReplyDeleteHappiness is having a house that functions according to one's needs. Chez nous is getting some remedial electrical rewiring later in the week. It will be nice to get the house in order again!
Meanwhile, I have occasionally looked back at 'Le Chevalier Rouge' and wondering weather to add it to my Azurian (Oceanic) fleet... It still won't be a match for the Ruberian, but could interfere effectively in the latter's plans for a major landing somewhere on the Norramandian Coast...

I’d love to see you model Le Chevalier Rouge as part of one of your Azurian fleet. I must admit that I’ve considered building one myself for my Belle Epoque project, but have yet to get around to it.
