Yesterday my blog has achieved over seven million hits!
The blog was started on Thursday 18th September 2008, and achieved a million hits by December 2015. It reached three million by December 2018 (I missed when it achieved two million hits), four million by November 2021, five million during February 2024, six million hits in October that year … and now, it’s reached seven million!
Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteMark Cordone,
DeleteCheers! As I write this reply, I am already over twelve thousand 'hits' towards achieving eight million!
All the best,
Bob
That is quite a milestone Bob, well done sir!
ReplyDeleteDonnie McGibbon,
DeleteCheers! I am already working on reaching eight million 'hits'!
All the best,
Bob
Congratulations Bob, and here’s to seven million more hits - I am pleased that a tiny few of these seven million hits have been my browsing over the years as you are one of my daily blog visits as well as being a portal to many other interesting blog sites.
ReplyDeleteMark, Man of TIN,
DeleteThanks for being one of my regular blog readers. It's the feedback and comments I get from people like you that has helped me to to reach seven million hits ... and to enjoy blogging.
All the best,
Bob
That's an impressive number of hits!!
ReplyDeleteMy blog doesn't get that many hits as it doesn't look to be searchable through Google,. It is searchable on other search engines like 'Bing' and 'Duck Duck Go' etc. So in about 6 years I've only reached modest 100 000 hits (earlier this week). On the other hand, I do npt have the number of blogposts as you do. Keep em' coming.
Roger,
DeleteCheer! Congratulations of achieving 100,000 'hits' ... and no doubt you have a small and loyal readership.
I regularly get messages from Google that my blog does not comply with its search criteria ... but this doesn't seem to stop people finding it!
All the best,
Bob
Which is your blog, Roger? (Always on the lookout for blogs-of-interest….)
DeleteCongrats, Bob…a commendable achievement!. Your blog (and your general very ‘open’ and approachable attitude) obviously appeal to many, many wargamers. It’s on my daily ‘must visit’ list.

DeleteCheers! I try to write the sort of blog that I would want to read … and my stylecertain seems to appeal to other wargamers.
All the best,
Bob
Thank you Bob.
DeleteRoger,
DeleteIt was a pleasure!
All the best,
Bob
Congratulations Bob. That's some number!
ReplyDeleteThe hit rate seems to be going up year-by-year. Which is always a good sign.
Nundanket,
DeleteCheers! The increasing hit rate would seem to indicate that I must be getting it reasonably right when it comes to blogging.
All the best,
Bob
Wow!! Congratulations...that's quite a milestone!
ReplyDeleteAlastair,
DeleteCheers! I’ve already had another 20,000 ‘hits’ since I passed the seven million mark … and the hit rate will soon be hitting the eight million target (I hope!).
All the best,
Bob
Hello there Bob,
ReplyDeleteBlimey! That is a milestone and a half! Many congratulations and here’s to the next 7 million.
All the best,
DC
David Crook,
DeleteCheers! I would not have reached this goal without the support of regular blog readers (and good friends) like you.
All the best,
Bob
Congratulations, to it and the next 7 million
ReplyDeleteRhingley,
DeleteCheers! I am already 25,000 'hits' towards reaching that goal.
All the best,
Bob
Bob -
ReplyDeleteFar out, wow, and golly gosh! But, seriously, congratulations on a job well done! To whatever else you might attribute seven million hits in response to your blog, I reckon the coupling of quality with quantity might have had something to do with it: lots of worthwhile reading. Having visited once, one has reason to visit a second time. Yours has for years been one of my 'go to' blogs at the beginning of the day.
May you continue on to your fourteenth million!
Cheers,
Ion
Archduke Piccolo (Ion),
DeleteMany thanks for your congratulations! They are much appreciated.
My guiding principles have been to write the sort of blog that I would want to read. and to answer as many comments as I can. In other words, to turn my blog into a sort of conversation between me and my regular blog readers. My blog posts are also somewhat eclectic in content ... which some people might find annoying but that others enjoy.
All the best,
Bob
