Doing a swap

Whilst I was at Cavalier 2013 yesterday, I met David Crook in order to swop some bits and pieces with him. I gave him a box full of unmade Zvezda 20mm-scale figures and artillery ... and he gave me some model aircraft from the range manufactured for use with the Axis and Allies Miniatures: Angels 20 collectible game.

The aircraft were:
  • 4 Hawker Hurricanes
  • 4 Supermarine Spitfires
  • 2 Messerschmitt Bf109s

I now have quite a fleet of 1:100th-scale model aircraft, some of which I intend to repaint so that I can use them in my planned Eastern Front/Great Patriotic War campaign.

  1. Hi Bob,

Old Glory produce Red Air Force stars in 15mm so the marking side for the Soviets will be straightforward once repainted.

Eastern Front German aircraft had a yellow band around the fuselage for recognition purposes.

All you need now are some Ju 87s and Sturmoviks and you are all set!

    All the best,

    DC

  2. David,

Thanks for the information. It will help me when I do the re-painting.

Do you know if the Ju87 and/or Sturmovik are in the next batch of A&A Miniatures: Angels 20 to be released?

    All the best,

    Bob

  4. Peter,

It is not a bad haul, and when added to what I already own, it gives me a fair number of aircraft that I can use on the tabletop.

    All the best,

    Bob

PS. I will have a look at the photographs on your blog later this morning.

  5. Hi Bob,

Both the Ju 87 and the Sturmovik feature in the booster sets for the next release of A and A Angels 20 (incidentally, it is called Bandits High).

    All the best,

    DC
