Building modular fortifications: Part 7 - Additional modules

Whilst I have been waiting for each coat of paint to dry, I have been working on some additional modules for my modular fortress. These are two destroyed wall/tower modules and four gun positions.

These additional modules are now finished, and as soon as I have finished painting the original modules, I will begin painting these new modules.

  2. I was tempted enough to buy a couple of sets myself. Quite basic and obviously limited in lots of ways, but initial play suggests these are going to be very useful indeed. They are a pretty good fit for my Garrison 20mm and Minifigs S and PB figures, great for fortresses, I might work on other buildings - would be just about perfect for building up cheap 15mm towns, but with a few minor additions could be useful for big 20mm/classical 25mm ones as well.

    Like them.

  3. Conrad Kinch,

Luckily no trumpets were involved in my collapsed walls!

    All the best,

  4. Xaltotun of Python,

Funnily enough I am thinking along similar lines, hence my purchase of several more sets of cheap wooden Jenga-like blocks and the more expensive sets of wooden building blocks.

Good luck with making your own fortifications and buildings.

    All the best,

    Bob

  6. Kev,

Hopefully the wall, tower, and gateway modules will be finished in a few days ... and then I can re-fight the scenario.

    All the best,

    Bob
