Unanswered comments

From the very beginning, I have always tried to answer comments my blog readers have made … but for the past week I have not been able to.

Sue and I booked a ‘domestic’ P&O cruise aboard MV Britannia and set sail from Southampton on 13th September. The cruise only stopped once, which was at Greenock, Scotland, on Wednesday 16th … and this was the only opportunity to read and answer comments made on my blog posts. I managed a couple … and then, for some reason best known to Blogger, the connection to my blog was broken and I could not read or reply to any comments.

I got back home late this morning, and I hope to read, approve, and answer any comments that have been made.

As they used to say in the early days of TV in the UK, ‘normal service will resume as soon as possible’.

  1. Hi BOB,
I knew it! I thought you must have been away- I was thinking perhaps a stay along the coast- fish'n chips and all that - didn't think for a moment you'd be Cruising. Hope you had a great time. Stay well there in London. Best Wishes. KEV.

    1. Kev Robertson (Kev),

A week in a travelling hotel with excellent facilities, food, and entertainment has refreshed both of us ... and I got a lot of work done on my latest book as well!

      Keep safe and keep well,

  2. Glad you had a good time and accomplished something! I've learned from your blog and Man of Tin to answer comments ASAP; keeps up both the readers' interest and mine.

    1. Jennifer,

I probably ate too much and too well … but did quite a bit of walking as well. I find that sea days are a great opportunity to do thinking and writing.

Besides being courteous (if someone takes the time to write a comment, it is only polite to reply), answering a comment can often help clarify ones own thinking and generate more ideas. It’s win-win situation!

      All the best,
