Although is has always been a relatively small nation, Denmark has always had a proud maritime tradition, and until the Danish Navy was seized after the Battle of Copenhagen in 1807, it had one of the most powerful fleets in Europe.
The following are a selection of sailing ship models from the collection held at the Krigsmuseet (the Danish War Museum) in Copenhagen.
