I have decided to begin putting THE SECOND PORTABLE WARGAME COMPENDIUM together. I already have a couple of chapters of my own sketched out and I’ve had promises of chapters from some of the people who contributed to the earlier compendium.
I’ll be writing regular blog posts about the progress that I make, but my plan is to have the compendium ready for publication by Easter … so if you are interested in what will be in the next compendium, keep reading this blog regularly!
That's good news Bob, hope it all goes well. Regards Paul.
ReplyDeletePDL (Paul),
DeleteI’m already about halfway through writing one of my contributions.
All the best,
Bob
Hi Bob,
DeleteWhat very good news. Hopefully there will be plenty on 3x3 in the new book.
All the best
Steve
Steve,
DeleteI hope that there will be quite a variety of contributions, including quite a few 3 x 3 ones.
All the best,
Bob
Hope that will include the portable Napoleonic 3 x 3 wargame
DeleteDave,
DeleteI am planning to include them, along with some simple campaign rules.
All the best,
Bob
Great news. Let me know if I can help, feel free to use anything I have contributed if desired.
ReplyDeleteMark Cordone,
DeleteThank you for your kind offer, which I am very happy to accept!
All the best,
Bob
I'm honored to be able to contribute.
ReplyDeleteMark Cordone,
DeleteIt will be my pleasure to print your contributions.
All the best,
Bob
Good to hear, Bob. Previous Compendium had lots if useful ideas. Looking forward to the next 👍
ReplyDeleteMartin S.,
DeleteI've already written one chapter myself about making 10cm square terrain tiles and have several other ideas that I want to include. I've also had several offers of contributions, so things look as if they are going to come together over the next month or two.
All the best,
Bob
Hi Bob. Is the WW2 Operational game the next in line?
ReplyDeleteKind regards
Simon
Simon,
DeleteI've already drafted some basic ideas for a set of WW2 Operational-level rules for the Eastern Front/Great Patriotic War, and hope to work on them as and when the mood take me.
All the best,
Bob
Great stuff Bob, the first compendium had loads of interesting ideas ( and a set of 18th Century rules, I seem to remember(!) ), so I'm sure a second will have plenty more of interest. Good luck with the project!
ReplyDeleteDavid in Suffolk,
DeleteI’m looking for contributions, especially from those who helped make the first Compendium such a success.
All the best,
Bob
Fantastic stuff, looking forward to seeing what's in the next compendium.
ReplyDeleteA fantastic source of inspiration.
Stephen Smith,
DeleteThanks for your kind words.
I am hoping that it will be even better than the first Compendium.
All the best,
Bob
