Venturing out

I decided to venture out today, despite the cold weather, to get some fresh air. Staying indoors keeping warm and nursing my cold was all very good, but after a while one begins to feel a bit stale and in need of a change of scene ... so off I went. I did not go to far, although I did manage to make it as far as a branch of WHSmith, where I bought the latest issue of BATTLEGAMES.

When I read the last (free) issue of BATTLEGAMES I was impressed, and I made the decision to buy this magazine on a regular basis. Having already begun to read this issue, I think I made a wise decision.

What I like about BATTLEGAMES is the excellence of its articles and its lack of reliance on photographs. I have yet to read an article that did not have something of interest for me ... and that included those that covered topics I would normally have considered of interest to me.

  1. Have to agree great magazine. I used to buy it shows but as I haven't been to any for a few years it's nice I can now get it at WHS.

  2. Redtroop,

Over the years I have bought most of the mainstream wargames magazine that have been published ... and in my opinion this is by far and away the best of the current crop.

I hope that selling it in WHSmith will enable BATTLEGAMES will gain enough market share to remain viable.

    All the best,

    Bob

  4. Chasseur,

I understand that it is available in digital format for £19.50 per year. This would also include all the back issues.

I am sure that if you contact the publisher at www.exacteditions.com/battlegames they would be able to help you.

    All the best,

    Bob
