Rather than use all the turbaned figures from my 15mm Mahdist army to create the Harabian army, I selected a few of them to form the Army of Hyderapore.
The army's main distinguishing feature is the colour of its turban, which is Cerulean Blue.

DeleteI’d never heard of the general, but taking an Indian wife (or several) was not unknown in the early days of the Raj. Sue has a relative who served with the HEIC, and there is evidence that he had an Indian wife whilst he was in India.
I’m definitely in favour of acquiring an elephant or two as Hyderapore will probably not be my only Chindian imagi-nation.

Elephants would be interesting. Perhaps with some sort of light artillery mounted on top, your ancients rules for them should work very well grafted onto to the colonial game and would make for some interesting battles.
