It was as I was putting the Harabian Army into its storage draw that I realised that I had not posted any photographs of the Army of Sahel on my blog ... so here are some!
That error has now been rectified, and I can move on to finishing the next army of my Belle Époque project ... the army of the Rajah of Hyderapore.

Great to see you are cracking on with these forces whilst undergoing your treatment Bob. Having a wonderful hobby such as ours that allows you to do easy stuff, was a great boon to me whilst recovering from surgery. I'm sure this is the case for you too. Keep well and all that old chap!

I had a couple of dark days early on, but help from friends and family meant they were few and far between fortunately. Also the hobby in all its forms helped massively too, especially reading Blogs which was easy whilst stuck in a chair recuperating. I really hope the meds kick in soon and you being to feel the difference.

DeleteI’ve had a couple of wobbles over the past few months, but my wife well and truly stomped on them (in the nicest way possible) and wargaming was a great distraction.
The current course of drugs will last eight weeks, and at the end of that time the oncologist will decide if I need to take the drug for a bit longer and/or need radiotherapy.

ReplyDeleteGood going here Friend - certainly nearing completion of your assortment of 15mm forces is good to know. Sometime in the near future I will be doing an Imagi-nation Project myself in the small scale of 6mm- it'll be Malburian in period. Imagi-nations allows us to be rather creative which is good fun and very enjoyable. Best Wishes. KEV.

DeleteThere are still quite a few figures awaiting their turn to be renovated, and this project will probably keep me occupied for some months to come.
I love imagi-nations, and I know loads of other wargamers who do as well. It’s a nice way to exercise one’s own imagination within an historical framework.
I look forward to seeing your 6mm Malburian imagi-nation project take shape.

I don't know how you keep up with all your varied armies. I would need an index to keep tract of them all. Were these figures already in your collection?

DeleteWhat the photographs show is the present Army of Sahel, but it may grow in the future.
Doing this project is helping me to keep my spirits up … but thanks to joint pain and fatigue (both side effects of the drugs I am on), I actually do have trouble getting out of bed in the morning!
